Thank you for subscribing….here we go again in the live show with a barefoot stroll on soft ground. A nice image but it maybe its not what you should be aiming for in terms of holding an audiences attention in a dark room in a pub at lunchtime. There’s something though in the idea of being vulnerable that is attractive….it hints at creativity and openness but just don’t expect it to feel good..

There’s s sweet spot in telling a story and it comes somewhere between not knowing it very well and knowing it too well. One is full of a disheartening hesitancy and the other is full of a deadening certainty. The stories here are more toward the former but hopefully that doesn’t make it too hard of a listen for ye. There came a point for me when I was listening back to it myself about 20 minutes in where I thought

‘break, break, take a break!’

Time gets bendy in them you see. The metronome is on methadone. Once upon a time time is different. It won’t be measured with numbers…..One of my favourite jokes

‘The cousin was back from America, a far flung cousin from a far flung place. City boy. Comes to the farm to see Josie. A small farm, a poor farm, not much in it save Josie and a few pigs. Stone walls, mountains all around. A nice postcard but a tough station. Anyways…the yank, god be good to him, full of respect and niceties. Josie, solid in himself but mannerly too. What to do with the yank ? Josie says
